Session Overview:

The session will take a deep dive into the practical application of data analytics specifically covering the Human Resources and Payroll cycle.  Analytic techniques and procedures will be discussed and presented aimed at helping Internal Auditors better understand and identify risks, analyse data and records forming part of the Human Resources and Payroll cycle, and understand the triggers and flags that stem from delivering analytical procedures adequately and effectively.

What I will learn:

Practical techniques that will assist you in establishing greater confidence and oversight of the integrity, reliability and currency of data, records and information maintained within and across the Human Resources and Payroll cycle. Specifically, you will learn analytical procedures that help:

  • Identify incomplete, inaccurate and/or unreliable data and records.
  • Triggers and red flags that may suggest unethical and/or fraudulent conduct.
  • Techniques to validate and authenticate the integrity of data and records.

Who should attend:

Any member that is involved in the planning, delivery, reporting and/or oversight of internal audits and related engagements that incorporate Human Resources and Payroll as part of their engagement scope.

In addition to the above, members that wants to expand their knowledge, understanding and capability in applying data analytics in their internal audit engagements, while expanding their analytical thinking, should also attend.
