Session Overview:

This event will provide an overview and update on current pathways, practices and considerations in the care of patients with head and neck cancer (HNC). It will outline current care pathways and supporting documents for the delivery of speech pathology services. The presentation will describe new medical treatment approaches along with an update on a speech pathology assessment tools and rehabilitation. An overview of new speech pathology models of care will be provided. In particular technology-enabled services will be highlighted along with practical information on how to design and deliver these models of care to benefit both patients and health services. Current literature, resources and information – both for use by the professional and consumer will be discussed.
